| Description: | The inspiration for this impressionistic work came when Lennie decided to take time off from composing and spent a day at the ocean near Santa Barbara. As he watched waves washing ashore, the sun sparkling like diamonds on the water, people swimming and surfing, and kids playing on the beach, the musical idea for this piece came into his mind. The very next day he went to his music room and began writing it. Published in three versions for soloists with piano accompaniment. |
