| This arrangement is a direct transcription of the second half of the original piano solo. Solace, subtitled “A Mexican Serenade”, is a piece written in tango rhythm, the only tango Scott Joplin wrote. It made a resurgence in popularity after it was used in the movie “The Sting”. The melody and harmony is in the 1st and 2nd Clarinets, and the left hand stride piano rhythm is in the lower clarinets.
